Construction and Development

With one of the largest and most sophisticated construction practices in the western United States, our construction team handles matters regionally and across much of the country, from the routine to the highly complex.

Construction Design and Transaction Expertise
We have hands-on experience in virtually every aspect of a construction project from beginning to end, from RFP preparation and response, through financing, siting, permitting, to construction and construction management, and if necessary, dispute resolution.

Our team has drafted and negotiated underlying project-related contracts that include engineering, procurement and construction contracts, standard industry-form contracts, equipment supply and acquisition agreements, land acquisition and lease agreements, partnership and limited liability company agreements, commodities contracts, and operations and maintenance agreements. We have significant experience in the financing of major construction projects, and our attorneys are experienced in structuring complex multinational financings.

Construction Litigation Expertise
Our construction litigators are experienced not only in the courtroom but in arbitration, mediation, and other resolution settings. From routine contract disputes to complex, multiparty proceedings, our team specializes in resolving construction disputes, advising clients on available options and opportunities to achieve their short- and long-term business objectives, through negotiated settlement, or contesting a case to its ultimate outcome, including on appeal.
