Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Everyone talks about diversity. Not everyone stands behind their words. Holland & Hart’s commitment to cultivating diversity, equity, and inclusion is long-standing. It plays a core role in building the firm’s innovative, creative work environment. Diversity enhances our ability to serve clients, grants greater breadth of perspective, and makes Holland & Hart a better place to work for everyone.

We are committed to the principle that each and every person at the firm, no matter what their background and experience is, deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, where each individual is valued and celebrated. We value the rich backgrounds and abilities of all our people, as well as teamwork and collaboration.

Our DEI leaders work closely with firm management, practice group leaders, office administrative partners, and committees to ensure the implementation, monitoring, and refinement of specific DEI initiatives and community partnerships and opportunities.

Holland & Hart strives to embed the fundamental principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the firm and continues to build a workplace that embraces and supports our team members and communities.

For six consecutive years, the firm has achieved Mansfield Rule Certification and Mansfield Certification Plus status. Mansfield Rule is a structured certification process designed to ensure that all talent at participating law firms and legal departments has a fair and equal opportunity to advance into leadership.

The firm received LCLD’s Compass Award in 2022 and both the Compass and Top Performer awards in 2023. These awards recognize law firms and corporations showing a strong commitment to building a more inclusive legal profession.

Since 2020, the firm received a perfect score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 2022 Corporate Equality Index, the nation's foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality.

Holland & Hart is one of 57 US-based law firms recognized for its level of disclosure of diversity-related metrics and distinguished performance against six pillar areas: leadership and talent pipeline, business strategy and innovation, recruitment and retention, firm demographics, disclosure, and lastly, diversity and inclusion in the community plus marketing.

The Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF)* grants Gold Standard status to law firms based on the number of women among equity partners, in firm leadership positions, and in the ranks of their most highly compensated partners. *program discontinued in 2023
