Experienced Environmental Advisor: With a sophisticated understanding of how government agencies operate and enforce environmental laws, Amanda counsels clients on how to operate in compliance with the complex maze of state and federal environmental laws and policies.

Advice on Complex Regulation: Amanda’s experience includes her recent tenure as the Executive Director of the Utah Department of Environmental Quality (UDEQ). She led UDEQ in implementing state and federal environmental laws, working proactively with individuals, community groups, and industry.

Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Amanda served as the Energy Policy Advisor to Utah Governor Gary R. Herbert where she developed the Utah Energy Initiative, a 10-year strategic energy plan. She also served as a key advisor to former Utah Governor Jon M. Huntsman Jr. in her role as Legislative Director and Rural Advisor. Prior to that, she was the Government Relations Director for the Nature Conservancy of Utah.
