Alex Grande assists clients with disputes involving breach of contract, equity claims, employment discrimination, and a range of business torts.

As a member of Boise’s commercial litigation group, and through her experience in a broad array of disputes, Alex helps clients navigate all stages of the dispute resolution process, representing clients in both state and federal litigation as well as mediation and arbitration.  

Alex also represents clients in various labor and employment related disputes. She has represented employers in court and before state and federal agencies to resolve claims of discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful discharge. 

Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Alex served as an extern law clerk to the Hon. Ronald E. Bush, Magistrate Judge, U.S. District Court in Boise.

Representative Experience
  • Supported the work of in-house counsel, acquired experience in transactional and compliance matters, and gained insights into the complexities and legal needs of a large healthcare corporation while on secondment to St. Luke’s Health System.

  • Represented multiple Idaho businesses before the Idaho Human Rights Commission and the EEOC, obtaining dismissal of charges of discrimination.

  • Second-chaired week-long federal jury trial successfully defending one of the nation’s largest package delivery companies against claims of discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful discharge.

  • Represented, as part of a legal team, multiple clients in proceedings pursuant to the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction and the International Child Abductions Remedies Act.

  • Represented, as part of legal team, public entity in action for breach of contract and warranties against manufacturer of signal timing equipment software and equipment in multi-year federal court litigation.

  • Represented, as a part of a legal team, hospital in state-court action brought by physician as a result of an adverse credentialing decision.

  • Represented, as part of a case team, employees in breach of restrictive covenant action, drafting summary judgment brief that resulted in complete dissmissal of the case.

  • Served on case team representing company in related multi-state litigation defending against trade secret misappropriation and related claims.
