Super Lawyers, part of Thomson Reuters, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selection process includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent research evaluations, and peer reviews by practice area. No more than five percent of the lawyers in each state are selected by the Super Lawyers research team, and the Rising Stars list selection is limited to only 2.5 percent of eligible lawyers, according to Super Lawyers’ website.
