Maureen has over 40 years of experience in cutting-edge, high-stakes, complex litigation locally and nationally.
She has first-chaired significant cases of first impression and precedent-setting trials and appeals. Her experience includes jury trials, bench trials, appeals, and alternative dispute resolution such as mediation and arbitration. She has tried cases in numerous jurisdictions across the country and has handled appeals in the Fourth, Seventh, Ninth, and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals. She is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. Maureen has argued before the Colorado Supreme Court, the Illinois Supreme Court, and the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Maureen leads the Products Liability team, co-leads the firm’s International Arbitration team, and handles ICSID, ICC, ad hoc and other arbitrations throughout the world.
Although Maureen’s experience spans a wide variety of subject matters, her primary areas of focus are product liability, labor and employment, and commercial litigation. Her product liability work has encompassed pharmaceutical and medical devices, blood and blood products, food and beverage, agricultural products, asbestos, oil and gas equipment, radiant heating systems, and numerous other products. She has led multi-week/month trials and negotiated national class action settlements. She has also handled cases involving business torts, personal injury and medical malpractice, antitrust, oil and gas, toxic torts, and other areas.
