Jenn assists clients with business disputes at the trial and appellate levels.

In her appellate practice, Jenn assists clients with state and federal appeals. She recently served as deputy attorney general in the Idaho Attorney General’s Office, where she handled criminal appeals on behalf of the state.

In her litigation practice, Jenn has significant experience in complex commercial disputes, class certification, and other class- and collective-action issues.

Jenn served as a law clerk to the Honorable N. Randy Smith of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Appellate Experience
  • Assisted multiple case teams with briefing and argument in appeals before the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Sixth Circuit, Ninth Circuit, and Tenth Circuit; the Idaho Supreme Court; and the Florida Court of Appeals.

  • Successfully handled many criminal appeals on behalf of the State of Idaho.

Class Actions
  • Served on case team successfully defending an employer in a federal court collective action in which a class of plaintiffs asserted wage and hour violations.

  • Participated as case team member in successful representation of employer in class action fraud case filed in federal court relating to a large-scale reduction in force, which resulted in denial of class certification and favorable settlement.

  • Served on legal team for defendant software company in federal class action involving product liability and constitutional violation claims.

  • Served on case team representing tech company in federal class action involving allegations of consumer protection violations.

General Commercial Litigation
  • Defended national title company in a federal lawsuit asserting breach of contract and other related claims, which plaintiff valued in the millions, drafting summary judgment brief that resulted in complete dismissal of the case without argument.

  • Represented, as part of legal team, businesses in federal court litigation against an international insurance company involving claims of fraud and breach of fiduciary duty.

  • Served on case team successfully representing start-up company in federal court, prosecuting trade secret and related claims.

  • Represented, as part of legal team, group of plaintiffs in action challenging federal quarantine regulations, resulting in invalidation of the regulations.
