Holland & Hart is proud to announce that Karina Sargsian and Rocío Portela-Berríos have been recognized as inaugural Atlas Award recipients by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), for demonstrating the highest level of dedication throughout their 2023 LCLD program.
Karina was a member of the LCLD 2023 class of Fellows. The Fellows Atlas Award recognizes those who participated in 10 or more program components during their LCLD program year. Karina is an employment law counsel and litigator in the Salt Lake City office. She focuses her practice on all aspects of managing complex employment and commercial litigation in both state and federal courts, and provides advice and counsel to employers of all sizes on a full spectrum of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
Rocío was a member of the LCLD 2023 class of Pathfinders. The Pathfinder Atlas Award recognizes those who participated in eight or more program components during their LCLD program year. Rocío supports clients in the energy and infrastructure industries on issues regarding project development and finance. Rocío's strong background in financing of energy, infrastructure, mining, and renewable energy projects in both the United States and Latin America, along with her fluency in Spanish, gives her valuable experience to offer clients a diverse approach to their projects.
In its first year, 62 Fellows and 109 Pathfinders were named Atlas Award winners. LCLD is comprised of more than 450 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners—the leaders of the profession—who are committed to ensuring that all talent thrives, with the ultimate goal of building a more equitable and diverse legal profession.
