Our Commercial Finance team represents lenders and borrowers in secured and unsecured credit facilities.

We counsel a wide array of national, regional, and community banks, credit unions, trust companies, the newly reactivated thrifts and agricultural/Farm Credit banks, and other regulated lenders subject to financial institution division oversight. We also advise private equity funds, hedge funds, and insurance companies, as well as companies seeking debt financing from financial institutions, in a variety of commercial, construction, and real estate loans.

Our Biggest Strength is our People
In addition to their own sophisticated lending and regulatory experience, members of our Commercial Finance team collaborate with attorneys throughout the firm with extensive industry and subject matter knowledge. Whether a loan is secured by intellectual property, cash flows, inventory, real estate, water rights, agricultural products, or mineral rights, we can promptly access expertise within our firm to ensure clients’ interests are protected. Members of our Commercial Finance team work closely with our Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights, Banking Litigation, and Environmental attorneys who provide valuable assistance on complex modifications, workout and restructuring of problem loans, receiverships and foreclosures, and can evaluate potential environmental liability and guide clients through environmental hazards and the maze of clearances required.
