Holland & Hart is proud to announce that partner Tom Sansonetti has been elected to serve a three year term on the fifteen member American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL) Board of Regents, the most prestigious of the ACOEL positions. ACOEL is a national association of distinguished lawyers who practice in the field of environmental law dedicated to: maintaining and improving the ethical practice of environmental law; the administration of justice; and the development of environmental law at both the state and federal level.
Serving on the Board of Regents, Sansonetti will be responsible for guidance and oversight to the College. He has been a Fellow of the ACOEL since 2012. Three other Holland & Hart attorneys are also members: Paul Phillips, James Holtkamp, and Kevin Murray.
Recognized nationally in the fields of natural resources and environmental law, Sansonetti is an experienced litigator and project team leader who helps clients permit and develop projects with potential obstacles in mind. He counsels clients on how to develop effective plans of action that will meet government environmental permitting requirements and stand up to judicial scrutiny when those clients' projects are challenged in court. Sansonetti has served as one of the top leaders in the Department of Justice and also has held the third-ranking position in the Department of the Interior.
