Sam is an experienced advocate for his clients, helping companies define what a 'win' means to protect their business interests in court or alternative dispute resolution.
Companies look to Sam for innovative solutions to their environmental issues, contract disputes, and appeals. Leveraging his years of courtroom experience, Sam works with stakeholders through all phases of litigation to provide strategic guidance and insights.
Sam has cultivated a dynamic practice, having served in the US Air Force for more than ten years, including in Judge Advocate roles advising decision makers on a broad set of national security issues to include serving as a Deputy Legal Counsel to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He also served for three years as General Counsel/Chief of Staff for an independent Department of Defense (DoD) advisory committee tasked with developing defense acquisition reform measures for DoD and Congress, where he gained knowledge of acquisition statutes regulations and bid protests. He represented the United States and the DoD at the International Criminal Court Assembly of State Parties in The Hague.
In addition to his legal practice, Sam has spent time teaching new attorneys in The Air Force Judge Advocate General's School, where he was also the editor in chief of The Reporter.
