Sloane partners with clients to holistically navigate complex and rapidly evolving laws and regulations, deploying industry best practices across AI, privacy, data security, and risk management issues.
She works with clients in innovative, disruptive technology industries to proactively develop policies and procedures that comply with domestic and international privacy and cybersecurity laws. She holds a CIPP/E certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
Clients appreciate Sloane’s practical approach and understanding of data process practices, the legal implications that come with it, and her ability to interface in a cross-functional manner across the organization’s ecosystem. Sloane enjoys examining consumer hardware products and services to assist clients in balancing their business objective of the user experience with the legal implications of providing B2C or B2B2C offerings.
In addition to Sloane advising on the day-to-day privacy and security concerns, she also assists in addressing the privacy and data security aspects of mergers and acquisitions and other technology-focused corporate transactions including licensing and service agreements.
Before joining Holland & Hart, Sloane was a legal privacy consultant for a SaaS company that provides cloud-based enterprise software and services. During law school, Sloane was the Editor-in-Chief of the Colorado Technology Law Journal, served as an extern to the Honorable William W. Hood, III and as a legal extern to the Policy and Licensing Division of the Federal Communications Commission.
