Natalie assists energy and natural resource clients with routine and complex transactional, litigation, and regulatory matters.

Clients benefit from Natalie's experience spanning both scientific and legal roles in the energy and environmental industries. Natalie provides practical assistance with routine and complex regulatory matters. She represents clients in a variety of transactions including purchase, sale, and transportation agreements, operational agreements, and acquisitions and divestitures.

She helps clients with the preparation and response to state and federal regulations, with particular attention to CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, FIFRA, and state environmental regulations. When litigation is unavoidable, Natalie supports clients through a range of disputes.

Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Natalie worked in the environmental practice at an Am Law 100 firm working on federal environmental transactional, litigation, and regulatory matters. She worked as a research assistant at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Affiliate Laboratory in Boulder, Colorado, in addition to serving as an intern for key Federal Agencies in Washington DC and Colorado, including the US House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee Environment and Climate Change Subcommittee, the US Environmental Protection Agency Region 8, and as a law clerk with the US Department of Justice Environment and Natural Resources Division. 


Natalie advises oil and gas clients on a variety of matters including:

  • Exploration and development contracts
  • Purchase and sale agreements
  • Surface use agreements
  • Right-of-way agreements
  • Joint venture agreements
  • Joint operating agreements
  • Gathering, processing, and transportation agreements
  • Federal, state, and local administrative compliance and permitting

Natalie assists clients on remediation and redevelopment matters including:

  • Compliance with and enforcement of key environmental regulations
  • Consent decrees, administrative orders on consent, and related agreements
  • Land use disputes
  • Environmental permitting related to project development
