Jose is a senior patent paralegal with more than 30 years of legal experience supporting attorneys, clients, and foreign associates.
Jose supports U.S. and foreign patent prosecution matters, helping maintain portfolio integrity and ensuring compliance with critical filing and deadline requirements. His work covers the full prosecution lifecycle. He prepares and files U.S. provisional and nonprovisional applications, PCT applications, national phase entries, and foreign direct filings, as well as information disclosure statements, requests for continued examination, appeals, and petitions. He works closely with foreign counsel, the EPO, and WIPO to coordinate filings and office action responses. He has extensive experience managing high-volume portfolios for Fortune 500 clients across multiple jurisdictions.
Jose is known for his attention to detail, operational efficiency, and proactive approach to docket management. He has trained and mentored paralegals and support staff on prosecution procedures, firm protocols, and workflow best practices. He also served on a prior firm's Best Practices Committee, where he helped improve and standardize operations across teams.
