Governor Brad Little appointed Anne Henderson Haws to serve on the Idaho House of Representatives, filling the Legislative District 16, Seat B, Ada County vacancy. She will serve the remainder of the term through December 2026.
Anne’s civil litigation practice includes representing clients on both sides of complex commercial disputes, including cases involving breach of contract and business tort claims such as fraud, defamation, and breach of fiduciary duty. She also provides analysis and guidance on newly enacted or changing law and policy, advising clients of potential impacts and next-step solutions. Before entering private practice, Anne served as a judicial law clerk for two judges in the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho.
In addition to building a successful practice, Anne has embodied the firm's commitment to community and pro bono work, dedicating hundreds of hours in pro bono services to further access-to-justice initiatives in Idaho and to support pathways to the bench for women. Her pro bono work includes serving as lead counsel for Idahoans United for Women and Families—helping to ensure the constitutional right of Idaho citizens to pass legislation by ballot initiative remains robust and meaningful.
Additionally, Anne regularly serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Idaho College of Law, where she has taught the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, Conflicts of Law, and Advanced Torts.
