Holland & Hart Represents Clearway Energy Group in Solar Project Acquisition and Wind Turbine Supply Agreement

Holland & Hart represented Clearway Energy Group LLC (Clearway), one of the largest developers and operators of clean energy in the United States, in the negotiation of a purchase agreement for the acquisition of a solar project in the Southwest Power Pool (SPP), including real estate due diligence. The project is expected to be a 300 MW solar generating facility and 300 MW x 4-hour battery storage facility.

Holland & Hart also represented Clearway in the negotiations of a turbine supply agreement and long-term supply agreement in connection with the Cedar Creek wind farm, an approximately 160 MW wind project under development by Clearway in Bingham County, Idaho.

Both transactions were completed in December 2021. The purchase agreement team was led by corporate partner Ashley Wald, along with Ryan Martin, Jan Harris, Evan Randall, Nate Runyan, and Morgan Thompson. The turbine supply agreement team was led by corporate partner Ashley Wald, with assistance from Ryan Martin and Morgan Thompson, along with Adam Cohen, Catherine Crane, Dave Glynn, and Lindsay Silber.
