Holland & Hart Announces 2024 LCLD Fellow and LCLD Pathfinders

Holland & Hart is proud to announce attorney Ying Wang has been selected to the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD)’s 2024 class of Fellows, and attorneys Utsarga Bhattarai and Melissa Reynolds have been selected to LCLD’s 2024 class of Pathfinders.

Founded in 2009, LCLD is an organization of more than 430 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who have pledged to create a diverse US legal profession. LCLD Members participate in LCLD action programs designed to attract, inspire, and nurture the talent in society and within Member organizations, thereby helping a new and more diverse generation of attorneys ascend to positions of leadership.

The Fellows Program is year-long professional development program for high-potential, mid-career attorneys of diverse backgrounds and experiences who have demonstrated strong leadership performance. The program provides professional and personal development opportunities, leadership training, relationship-building resources, and access to learn from top leaders in the legal profession.

LCLD Fellow Ying Wang is an attorney in the firm’s Washington, DC office. Ying counsels energy clients through every stage of renewable energy project development, specializing in drafting and negotiating project and revenue agreements for solar, wind, battery storage, and biofuel assets. With extensive experience in the wood pellets and biomass industry, she is a valuable resource for clients looking to harness biomass for biodiesel, renewable biofuels, and sustainable aviation fuels.

The Pathfinders Program connects high-potential, early-career attorneys of diverse backgrounds and experiences with foundational leadership skills and relationship-building resources during a seven-month professional development program.

An attorney in the firm’s Denver office, LCLD Pathfinder Utsarga Bhattarai represents energy and natural resources clients on complex litigation, administrative proceedings, and regulatory compliance matters. He also helps renewable energy, oil and gas, and mining clients challenge agency decisions and regulations that obstruct energy development projects.

LCLD Pathfinder Melissa Reynolds is an attorney in the firm’s Salt Lake City office. She counsels clients on enforcement, compliance, and permitting issues involving natural resources, with an emphasis on water quality and water rights. She also helps clients purchase, sell, change, and protect their water rights in Utah, and assists with water rights due diligence for mining and renewable energy clients seeking to purchase or finance projects in the Mountain West.
