Congratulations to David Broadbent, partner in the Salt Lake City office, for being a recent recipient of the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award from the Boy Scouts of America. The Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award recognizes service by an individual or organization for involvement in the development and implementation of Scouting opportunities for youth from rural or low-income urban backgrounds. Whitney M. Young was a significant civil rights leader in the 1960s.
David received this award for his dedication in providing scouting to members of minority communities in the Great Salt Lake Council. He has made this effort a major part of his focus during his two-year term as president of the Council, which has over 77,000 participating youth. Through David’s leadership, the Council expanded its efforts to provide scouting to members of the minority communities, including several refugee troops. David’s work aligns perfectly with Holland & Hart’s commitment to service and to the underprivileged.
