Chris advises both private and public companies, as well as private equity and venture capital investors, in mergers, acquisitions, minority investments, divestitures, financings, and general business matters.
Clients benefit from Chris’ industry-specific experience in technology, cannabis, and food, beverage, and consumer products by integrating his industry knowledge into his practice to provide counsel tailored to their unique needs and business goals. He advises on common buy-side and sell-side legal issues throughout the transaction lifecycle, including customary due diligence, drafting of definitive and ancillary documentation, and post-closing integration issues.
Chris focuses primarily on mid-market deals, with target enterprise values between $10 million and $2 billion, and has led numerous transactions for local clients.
Before joining Holland & Hart, Chris began his career as a corporate associate at two internationally-renowned law firms. He also worked as an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois College of Law, where he taught legal research and writing to L.L.M. candidates. Chris maintains an active pro bono practice that includes providing legal assistance for veterans and supporting indigent clients.
