Nine Holland & Hart attorneys have been named among the Legal Elite for 2014 by Nevada Business Magazine. These top attorneys were chosen by their peers from a pool of nearly 6,500 nominations. Reno-based Holland & Hart attorneys who made the list include:

Soraya T. Aguirre: Aguirre provides advice on the full range of estate and family business planning issues. She advises individual, corporate, and tax-exempt clients regarding numerous personal legal matters, complex estate planning, probate, estate and trust administration, family wealth transfer dynamics, business structuring and succession planning, asset protection, and philanthropy.

Frederick R. Battcher: Battcher helps clients through the complex strategies of mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, and other corporate matters. Megan M. Fogarty: Fogarty provides counsel in the area of real estate law, with an emphasis on commercial real estate transactions, development, and financing. Her real estate practice includes experience in complex purchase and sale transactions as well as common interest community law as it relates to mixed use, commercial and residential projects.

David A Garcia: Garcia has extensive experience counseling clients in venture capital financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and securities offerings. Working with companies ranging from small start-up and privately held businesses to publicly-traded corporations, he provides guidance on general corporate matters, structuring corporate partnering transactions and technology licensing arrangements, and securities law compliance.

Dora V. Lane: Lane provides sound labor and employment advice to companies of all sizes in the Mountain West Region. She guides businesses through the myriad of labor and employment issues to keep their operations running smoothly. Her experience includes counseling and representing clients on wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, reductions in force, workers' compensation, employee separation, and other employment related issues.

James Newman: Newman has significant experience advising individuals and companies (publicly and privately-held) on a variety of legal issues, and in many instances he serves as outside general legal counsel for his clients. His clients are engaged in a variety of industries including manufacturing, distribution, financial services, software, gaming, real estate development, and energy.

Timothy J. Riley was named among the Legal Elite for Northern Nevada and among the list’s 50 Best Up & Coming Attorneys. With deep experience representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service, Riley brings unique skills to bear on his clients' estate and family business planning issues. His intimate knowledge of tax code allows him to help his clients structure their wealth so that it grows while maintaining compliance with tax law.
