Speakers:
KC Becker was appointed as the Regional Administrator for EPA’s Region 8 office on November 29, 2021. She is a passionate public servant with over 18 years of experience in both federal and state organizations. Recently, she served in the Colorado State Legislature for 4 terms, including two years as House Majority Leader and two years as the Speaker of the House – at the time, one of only seven female speakers in the United States. During her 4 terms in the legislature, KC sponsored important and high-profile legislation including passing nationally leading climate change legislation that requires the state to meet greenhouse gas emissions goals; led comprehensive reform of state regulation of the oil and gas industry; and passed state public lands day that has become a model in other states.
Aaron Tucker provides clients with effective assistance and representation on a variety of environmental compliance, enforcement, and litigation issues. Aaron counsels clients on assessment and permitting, compliance and enforcement, and rulemaking. He works closely with clients to provide practical guidance on a wide range of environmental matters, including air quality, water quality, and environmental compliance issues that may arise during project development, operation, and closure.
Andrew Revelle helps clients on a variety of environmental issues, including compliance, enforcement, permitting, and litigation. With a background in environmental science and natural resources, Andrew provides assistance with air quality and water quality issues. He also litigates environmental and natural resource matters and conducts environmental due diligence on conventional and renewable energy projects. During law school, Andrew served as law clerk with the EPA Environmental Appeals Board and the Salt Lake City Attorney’s Office.
Andy Orr is an experienced litigator who handles a wide range of complex disputes, from pre-litigation counseling through discovery, dispositive motions, trial, and appeal. Andy has tried cases to verdict in five states and litigated matters for clients of all sizes in federal and state courts across the country. His experience includes disputes involving business matters, personal injury, product liability, copyright, cybersecurity, and shareholder issues. Andy has particular expertise in preparing witnesses to testify, and has spent hundreds of hours on that critical (often outcome-determinative) process over the course of his career.
Sydney Sell helps clients in the energy and natural resources industries navigate environmental regulatory and litigation issues. Sydney guides companies through a variety of environmental operational areas, including permitting, compliance, and enforcement actions. Sydney also assists clients with environmental and natural resource litigation matters, including air and water quality issues, and conducts environmental due diligence on conventional and renewable energy projects.
Melissa Reynolds draws from her experience with government agencies to counsel clients on enforcement and compliance issues involving natural resources, with an emphasis on water quality and water rights. Melissa works with a variety of clients to provide counsel on water quality and environmental compliance issues that may arise during project development, operation, and closure. Melissa also leverages her knowledge of key water legislation and state agencies to guide clients in obtaining, protecting, and using their water rights.
