Two Holland & Hart Attorneys Named 2023 Leaders in Law by Idaho Business Review

Holland & Hart is proud to announce that Boise attorneys Teague Donahey and Matthew Montgomery have been named 2023 Leaders in Law by the Idaho Business Review. This annual recognition highlights professionals demonstrating outstanding performance in leadership, mentorship, community service, and other areas. In 2023, 29 lawyers across the state were selected as Leaders in Law based on their track record of success and helping to set a high bar for their firm and the state of Idaho. Honorees include associates, educators, in-house counsel, partners, sole practitioners, unsung heroes, up and coming individuals, and a lifetime achievement awardee.

Partner Teague Donahey has 25 years of major law firm experience litigating and trying high-stakes intellectual property matters and other complex business disputes for some of the world’s most significant technology companies. His practice spans federal and state courts, as well as administrative bodies such as the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). Outside of his practice, Teague dedicates significant time to manage pro bono cases on behalf of veterans. Through the National Veterans Legal Service Program (NVLSP), Teague is part of a dedicated network of law firms and in-house legal departments that provide free representation to veterans in proceedings before military administrative discharge boards, military medical and physical disability evaluation boards, military discharge review agencies, VA regional offices, the Board of Veterans’ Appeals, and other courts that review decisions of these agencies.

Associate Matthew Montgomery assists clients in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, with a focus on the electronics and computer-related arts. He is part of a sophisticated patent group that has developed a proprietary set of automation and workflow tools that allows them to deliver high-quality legal services more efficiently and cost-effectively. He also serves as a leader for the group’s training and onboarding process for all new hires (including both engineers, patent agents, and attorneys). Outside of his day-to-day practice, Matt is involved in the IP section of the Idaho State Bar, and also with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho.

The 2023 Leaders in Law will be honored at an awards reception on Nov. 14 and profiled in a special publication included with the Idaho Business Review in November. A full list of this year’s Leaders in Law can be viewed here.
