We all welcomed the CDC’s recent guidance advising that fully vaccinated individuals can ditch the mask and the physical distancing, at home and at work.
For employers, the CDC guidance will add volume to the growing chorus of employees seeking reprieve from employers’ masking and distancing rules.
However, only 38% of the nation’s population is vaccinated, meaning that virtually every employer has a substantial percentage of employees who, for one reason or another, are not vaccinated and may choose to never be vaccinated.
And, the EEOC has just issued new guidance explaining its view of what employers can do to require or encourage employees to be vaccinated, and how employers can obtain and use information about employees’ vaccination status.
