DENVER (January 16, 2006) - Holland & Hart LLP is pleased to announce that Judith A. Biggs, John M. Husband, and Jeffrey T. Johnson were named leading management labor and employment attorneys in Colorado by Who's Who Legal USA for 2006.
The attorneys selected for this honor were nominated by their peers as the world's leading practitioners in the labor and employment field. Only eight attorneys were selected in Colorado, three of whom are partners at Holland & Hart.
Ms. Biggs is the administrative partner of the firm's Boulder office. She served as chair of the employment practice group from 1998 through 2003. She defends and advises employers on a variety of employment law topics, such as complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Family and Medical Leave Act, drafting and enforcing covenants not to compete and confidentiality agreements, drafting employee handbooks and policies, conducting internal investigations, implementing drug testing programs, developing internal dispute resolution systems, and reducing the risks of litigation. She also has extensive experience in training on compliance with employment laws that may differ from one jurisdiction to another.
Mr. Husband is a partner in the firm's Denver office. He is a fellow in The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, is listed in the Best Lawyers in America, and was voted Best of the Bar by his peers. He has been involved in hundreds of cases, had extensive judicial and administrative experience, tried cases in twenty states and been lead trial counsel in more than 250 adversarial proceedings, trials, major arbitrations or administrative actions that have been tried to conclusion. He counsels clients from Fortune 500 companies to small employers on a range of employment matters, including wrongful discharge, equal employment opportunity, trade secrets and covenants not to compete, wage and hour, privacy, disability, occupational safety, affirmative action and the law involving collective action, strikes, unions and collective bargaining.
Mr. Johnson is a partner in the firm’s Denver office and the former chair of its labor and employment practice group. He has more than 25 years of experience representing management in a number of areas, including employment discrimination litigation and counseling, wrongful discharge litigation, wage and hour, National Labor Relations Act matters, personnel counseling, individual employee rights, trade secret matters, and employee safety and health. He has labor and employment law experience in a wide variety of industries, with a broad range of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses. He has substantial experience in defending class actions and multi-plaintiff cases on behalf of large employers.
