Holland & Hart is pleased to announce that Matt Harvey has joined the firm’s Intellectual Property practice and will be based in the firm’s Boise office. Matt is a registered patent attorney and focuses on patent prosecution, patent analysis, and IP due diligence matters across electrical engineering and standards-essential technologies, with particular experience in the electrical hardware, software, and wireless telecommunications industries. In addition, Matt brings patent litigation experience, including in the wireless telecommunications field.
“We are excited to have someone with Matt’s background join Holland & Hart’s Boise office. His practical electrical engineering industry knowledge combined with his Silicon Valley experience will augment our market-leading patent prosecution practice,” said Brian Hansen, administrative partner of the firm’s Boise office.
Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Matt practiced as a litigator with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in Denver and as a patent agent with Fenwick & West LLP in Silicon Valley. He also worked as an electrical engineer for the U.S. Department of Energy at Sandia National Laboratories and as a graduate researcher in the Wireless Sensing Lab at the University of Washington.
Matt is licensed to practice in Colorado and before the U.S. Patent Office; he is not yet admitted to practice in Idaho.
