The Challenge
6 chefs. $1.25 per meal. You be the judge.
We are proud co-hosts of the Chef Ann Foundation's Real School Food Challenge! Six local natural food industry executives will battle to see if they have what it takes to make real school food. Each competitor must prepare an inspiring school lunch that meets USDA guidelines on an average school budget of $1.25 per meal.
On October 25, join us for wine, beer, and good company at Sterling Rice Group's test kitchen in Boulder while you sample the challengers' culinary creations and vote for the winning dish, which could be featured on Chef Ann Foundation's national school food recipe database.

The Cause
Over 30 million children eat school lunch every day, with more than 70% on the free and reduced lunch program. Schools are given an average of $1.25 per meal, per student — but what are they serving?
Boulder Valley School District is fortunate to have Chef Ann Cooper as Food Services Director, but other districts aren't so lucky. Chef Ann Foundation is dedicated to providing schools everywhere with the tools, resources, knowledge, and funding they need to serve real school meals to every child, every day. By supporting the Foundation through your ticket donation, you are helping children across the country gain access to healthy, fresh food.
