While employers are generally prepared to deal with illegal drug use by employees, employers are not as equipped to confront issues arising from the improper use of prescription drugs. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), prescription drug abuse is our country's fastest growing drug problem. Each day, this silent crisis increasingly invades our workplaces with potentially catastrophic consequences.
Effectively addressing this issue requires employers to be aware of and juggle numerous substantive legal areas including disability, privacy, and safety and health law. This seminar will provide employers with tools and strategies to address this growing workplace problem.
