Paul Phillips Elected to American College of Environmental Lawyers

Denver (August 18, 2010) - The American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL) has elected Holland & Hart attorney Paul Phillips to its membership. ACOEL is an invitation-only professional association comprised of approximately 100 environmental lawyers across the nation who are considered preeminent in the field.

Phillips has practiced environmental law and litigation for more than 25 years. His experience includes the Clean Air Act, NEPA, and the Clean Water Act (including storm water, NPDES and Section 404); representing companies in Superfund proceedings; and various aspects of climate change regulation and litigation. Phillips has represented energy and resources companies and trade organizations in national rule-making before EPA and in litigation before the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.

Phillips has been listed in Best Lawyers in America for more than 20 years, Chambers USA, and Who's Who in America. In 2004, the Colorado Bar voted Phillips the top Natural Resources/Environmental lawyer in the Denver Business Journal's "Best of the Bar" survey. He was selected for inclusion in Colorado Super Lawyers in 2009 and 2010 for his work in environmental law.
