Matt develops real-world strategies to solve complex problems for his clients on high-stakes tax controversies, litigation, and other matters.
Matt assists companies and individuals to develop strategies that position them to face tax disputes. He draws on his significant policy development and legal risk management experience to help clients navigate a wide variety of adversarial and administrative forums. His diverse legal experience across a wide array of practice areas provides a depth of perspective that makes him a valuable asset to clients.
Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Matt served in the US Army as a Cavalry officer before transitioning to the Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps where he held numerous legal positions including service within the Office of The Judge Advocate General as the Army’s representative to the Armed Forces Tax Council, and manager of the Army’s tax assistance program.
