Melpo represents clients in complex commercial litigation and appellate matters, drawing on her experience in federal and state courts. She brings strong analytical skills to help clients navigate challenging disputes. Her litigation experience spans environmental regulatory disputes, compliance challenges, and appellate advocacy, where she assists clients across various industries in developing strategic approaches to complex legal matters.
Before joining Holland & Hart, Melpo developed strong litigation fundamentals through diverse legal experiences. As a Hobbs Fellow with the Colorado Attorney General's Office, Natural Resources and Environment Section, she co-authored briefs to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and represented state agencies in rulemaking proceedings, bringing both scientific understanding and practical regulatory knowledge to her client representation. She was also a law clerk for Justice Melissa Hart of the Colorado Supreme Court. Additionally, she holds a Master of Public Health from Yale School of Public Health, where her training focused on environmental health sciences provided a strong scientific foundation that she applied through hands-on federal regulatory experience at the EPA’s Air Enforcement Division and the White House Council on Environmental Quality.
