Matt counsels businesses in a range of industries on corporate matters, with a focus on clients in the early stages of their company's growth as well as mergers and acquisitions transactions.
Matt represents corporate clients, private equity clients, and their portfolio companies in formation, financings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions. He smoothly guides companies through any issues that may arise over the course of a transaction, utilizing his experience across the corporate, data privacy and private equity landscape. Matt holds CIPP/US certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, and has experience with state data breach notification laws, HIPAA, state healthcare privacy laws, and 42 CFR Part 2.
Before joining Holland & Hart, Matt practiced corporate law at Goodwin Procter, K&L Gates, and Baker Botts. Matt also served overseas in the United States Marine Corps.
