Holland & Hart Attorney Megan Moschetti Fogarty Elected Chair of the Board of Directors for SPCA of Northern Nevada
Megan Moschetti Fogarty, an attorney with Holland & Hart LLP, has recently been elected as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Northern Nevada. Ms. Fogarty has been a member of the SPCA Board since 2010, previously serving as the Vice Chair of the Board and Chair of the Development Committee.
SPCA of Northern Nevada is Reno-Sparks’ first independent, no-kill animal shelter organization. For over 17 years, SPCA has rescued and found homes for over 20,000 pets while establishing new programs and services for the northern Nevada community.
“I have been extremely lucky to be a part of the SPCA of Northern Nevada,” said Ms. Fogarty. “We have amazing staff, volunteers, and Board members whose commitment and dedication to bettering the lives of northern Nevada’s homeless dogs and cats goes without measure, and I am particularly proud of the lifetime commitment we make to each of our animals. It truly is an honor to have been elected as the Chair and I look forward to working with our team to further our mission as an innovative regional leader in the responsible treatment of homeless dogs and cats.”
Ms. Fogarty provides counsel at Holland & Hart in the area of real estate law, with an emphasis on commercial real estate transactions, development, and financing. She has extensive experience in the negotiation and preparation of complex lease documentation, representing both landlords and tenants in ground, retail, office, industrial, cell tower, and residential leases. In 2003, she received her J.D., with honors, from Arizona State University. She acts as Co-Chair of the firm’s Women’s Forum Steering Committee and is also a member of the American Bar Association, Washoe County Bar Association, and serves on several other councils.
