Matt Smith Quoted in Financial Times' Agenda Article on Boards Conducting Internal Investigations

Holland & Hart’s Partner Matt Smith was quoted in a June 4 article titled "Boards Risk Criticism Over Internal Investigations," published by Agenda, a Financial Times service publication. The article outlines considerations a company needs to contemplate to determine if an internal investigation is conducted when faced with a regulatory probe, allegations of systemic workplace issues, or public scrutiny.

"How independent the investigation has to be is dependent on the severity of the allegations involved, who[m] the allegations involve, whether there are systemic issues and whether third parties need to be involved,” says Smith, who spoke generally about internal investigations.
