Holland & Hart is pleased to announce Lucy Stark, Holland & Hart’s Managing Partner and securities and capital markets partner in the firm’s Denver office, has been selected as the 2024 Distinguished Achievement – Private Practice Award recipient by the University of Colorado Law School Law Alumni Board. This award recognizes alumni for their contributions to the legal profession, service to their communities, and dedication to the law school.
Lucy’s wide-ranging transactional practice includes debt and equity capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures. She also advises clients regarding disclosure issues and corporate governance, including SEC reporting and board and committee practices.
Since joining Holland & Hart in 2007, Lucy has served in key firm leadership roles, including since 2020, serving as the firm’s Managing Partner, working closely with the Firm Chair and members of the Management Committee to conduct the business of the firm in alignment with its strategic goals and objectives. She previously served as Practice Group Leader of the Corporate group and also founded and served as the first leader of firm’s Women’s Forum Steering Committee.
A 1998 graduate of the University of Colorado School of Law, Lucy served on the Colorado Law Alumni Board for six years, including a year as Chair during 2016-2017. In 2023, Lucy was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, an organization of more than 430 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who have pledged to create a diverse US legal profession. She has been recognized by Chambers USA and Best Lawyers in America. Her expertise has also received recognition by Colorado Super Lawyers, 5280 Magazine’s Top Lawyers, IFLR1000 United States, and the Denver Business Journal’s list of “Top Women in Energy.”
