Lois Baar, Melissa Beutler and Jane Michaels Selected to Benchmark Litigation’s Top 250 Women in Litigation
Holland & Hart LLP is pleased to announce three of its attorneys have been named to the first edition of Benchmark Litigation’s Top 250 Women in Litigation, a selection of leading female litigators from across the U.S. The women profiled were selected from each state’s individually-ranked local litigation stars in the most recent edition of the peer-reviewed parent publication Benchmark Litigation.
Lois Baar is the only attorney in Utah to be profiled in Top 250 Women in Litigation. Ms. Baar’s expertise in labor and employment helps her successfully defend employment lawsuits, provide workforce training, and advise employers on human resource and employment law issues. She is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and is based in the firm’s Salt Lake City office.
A strategic leader in construction law and large construction projects, Melissa Beutler counsels her clients on nearly every aspect of the construction process from creation of transaction documents to resolution of project claims. Ms. Beutler works on large construction projects, from hospitality projects to representing large civil owners. A Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professional, Ms. Beutler is one of only four attorneys profiled in Nevada. She regularly writes and speaks on contract drafting and construction industry form issues before national construction trade groups. She is based in the firm’s Las Vegas office.
Trial Practice Chair Jane Michaels is one of only two Colorado attorneys profiled. Ms. Michaels helps her clients protect and defend their intellectual property and business enterprises in courtrooms and arbitration proceedings around the country. With decades of experience as a trial lawyer, Ms. Michaels has won numerous complex jury trials and bench trials in business disputes, including patent, trademark, trade secrets and technology cases. She is based in the firm’s Denver office.
