Law Meets the Blogosphere: Legal Implications of Employee & Company Blogging

This informative seminar will discuss issues raised by employees who “blog” and issues related to company/corporate sponsored blogs. A “web log” or “blog” is a website in which journal entries are posted on a regular basis and displayed in reverse chronological order. Bloggers share stories, opinions, observations, and photos about particular topics.

We will discuss:
How current laws apply to new challenges created by bloggers
How best to respond to questionable blog posts
 Protecting confidential company information
 Protection from harassment
Guidelines for creating a blogging policy
 Risks related to company-sponsored blogs
Intellectual property and privacy issues in the blogosphere

Keynote Speakers: Chris Leh, Holland & Hart’s Labor & Employment Practice and Rich Spilde, Holland & Hart’s Technology Transfer & Licensing Practice.
