Katherine Bell is a litigation paralegal with over 25 years of experience in the natural resource field.

She has worked extensively on cases involving antitrust, environmental and oil and gas operational and royalty issues with significant emphasis on oil and gas royalty litigation. She has also participated in six bench and jury trials, including three oil and gas royalty cases, where the damages claimed ranged from $1 million to over $45 million, and she had total responsibility for the overall management of the trial logistics, exhibits and courtroom technology.

Katherine is also experienced in litigation support tools including Summation, Trial Director, Relativity and Sanctions.

Experience

Litigation and Trial Support
  • Assisted in litigating pipeline construction through the Fort Berthold Reservation, North Dakota.
  • Assisted at trial and at Supreme Court argument in which Wyoming adopted laches as a defense in breach of contract.
  • Assisted in litigating and trying only successful defense of alleged royalty underpayment under Rogers v. Westerman Farm Co.
  • Assisted in litigating and trying Robinson-Patman Act case.
