Kevin Murray Elected President-Elect of the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL)

Holland & Hart is proud to announce that Kevin Murray, a partner in the firm’s Salt Lake City office, has been elected as President-Elect of the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL).

Kevin previously served two terms as ACOEL’s Treasurer, served a term on the ACOEL Board of Regents, and was inducted as a Fellow in 2017. All officers and regents elected by the members serve on a voluntary basis and donate their time to ensure the College operates efficiently.

ACOEL is a professional association of distinguished lawyers who practice in the field of environmental law. Membership is by invitation and members are recognized by their peers as preeminent in their field. ACOEL members are dedicated to: maintaining and improving the ethical practice of environmental law; the administration of justice; and the development of environmental law at both the state and federal level.

Kevin has expertise on complex contamination issues, particularly those involving multi-jurisdictional and multi-agency matters in the real estate, mining, energy, petroleum, nuclear, and manufacturing industries. His practice focuses on managing environmental liabilities, repurposing real estate assets, and creating value through property remediation and planning. Kevin has been the lead attorney for billions of dollars of acquisition and development of environmentally challenged assets worldwide, including many Superfund sites.
