Holland & Hart partner Kevin Murray has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL). ACOEL is a professional association of distinguished lawyers who practice in the field of environmental law with admittance by invitation only. One of three Utah members, Murray was the Region 8 nominee inducted at this year’s annual meeting of the college on October 27.
ACOEL members are dedicated to: maintaining and improving the ethical practice of environmental law; the administration of justice; and the development of environmental law at both the state and federal level.
“Some of the most experienced and well-known environmental lawyers from across the country are members of the American College of Environmental Lawyers. Kevin’s fellowship invitation is a well-deserved honor for his accomplishments as an environmental practitioner,” said Walter Eggers, the firm’s Environment, Energy & Natural Resources Practice Group Leader.
Recognized as a leading environmental lawyer in Utah and nationwide, Murray has significant experience with CERCLA, RCRA, state hazardous waste laws, and related programs. His work includes all facets of remediation, compliance, permitting, mergers and acquisitions, land development, and property reuse. Murray’s practice expertise also includes the Clean Water Act, where he counsels clients on compliance and water quality matters.
