DENVER (December 30, 2005) - Holland & Hart LLP is pleased to announce that Joe Ramirez was named the Outstanding New Hispanic Lawyer of the year by the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association.
The CHBA presents this award annually to an attorney who has been in practice less than five years and who has demonstrated a strong commitment to the Hispanic community and the principals of the legal profession. This year's award will be given on January 28, 2006, at the CHBA annual banquet held at the Hyatt Regency at the Colorado Convention Center.

Mr. Ramirez joined Holland & Hart’s Litigation Department in 2003. His practice focuses on business litigation with an expertise in insurance coverage. Mr. Ramirez has represented insurers and policyholders in a variety of insurance cases, including commercial general liability, commercial property, directors & officers, life, health, fidelity and surety bonds and excess/umbrella insurance. His extensive experience in insurance coverage also includes 15 years of supervising litigation for a $5 billion national property and causality company prior to law school.
Outside of the insurance arena, Mr. Ramirez has handled tort, employment and construction cases. He also serves as the Chair of the CHBA's Business Development Committee as well as a member of the Latino Alumni Association's Structure Committee at the University of Denver. In 2006, Mr. Ramirez will serve as the CHBA's Vice President of Committees.
The CHBA's primary function is to serve the public interest by cultivating the science of jurisprudence, promoting reform in the law, facilitating the administration of justice, advancing the standing of its members in the legal profession and promoting the cooperation and development of Hispanic attorneys.
