Holland & Hart Partner Jody Williams was named a 2017 Chamber Champion for her individual contribution and commitment to the Salt Lake Chamber. The award is presented annually to recognize community members who have shown exemplary support to further the Chamber’s mission and strengthen the local business community.
“Congratulations to Jody on receiving this prestigious honor from the Salt Lake Chamber. The firm is extremely proud of her commitment towards the economic advancement of Utah businesses, her steadfast protection of water rights throughout the Intermountain region, and her many accomplishments in fostering education through her community involvement,” said Eric Maxfield, administrative partner of the firm’s Salt Lake City office.
Williams is a partner in the firm’s Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources practice group. For more than 30 years, she has helped clients navigate the complexities of doing business in the Rocky Mountain West, building a national reputation and specialty in water law and water rights. Williams is an active member of the Salt Lake Chamber Board of Governors and has helped educate the business community on the importance of water as a key driver of Utah’s economy and the need to plan for Utah’s water future. She helped the Chamber develop its strategic water initiative, including water as a policy priority in its Public Policy Guides since 2014.
The award was presented to Williams at the Salt Lake Chamber’s 130th Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon on September 7.
