John is an appellate lawyer dedicated to finding creative solutions and solving complex problems for his clients.
John represents clients in high-stakes litigation and appeals. Through meticulous research and strategic legal analysis, he helps clients navigate Nevada’s appellate courts by crafting compelling appellate briefs and writ petitions. John has extensive experience as both trial counsel and appellate counsel in drafting and responding to dispositive motions, motions in limine, and post-judgment motions in state and federal business litigation disputes.
John’s Ph.D. in cognitive psychology and five years of university research experience—with a specific focus on human memory processes—provide a unique analytical advantage in his legal practice. John’s deep understanding of decision-making processes and human cognition enables him to excel at distilling complex information into clear, compelling arguments by anticipating how judges and juries will receive and process legal information. His rigorous research background and attention to detail leave no stone unturned in developing compelling and creative appellate strategies.
Before joining Holland & Hart, John was a member of the appellate practice group at Womble Bond Dickinson (formerly Lewis Roca). He also served as a judicial law clerk to Chief Judge Bonnie Bulla of the Nevada Court of Appeals.
