The US Department of Homeland Security’s policy permitting remote verification of identity and work authorization documents ends in July. By August 30, 2023, employers must complete in-person physical document inspections for employees whose documents were inspected remotely during the temporary COVID flexibilities. During this webinar we will cover:

  • how employers should account for past remote verifications;
  • civil and criminal liabilities associated with the form I-9 and E-Verify; and
  • frequently asked questions about form I-9.
