Idaho's New Law on Minors' Sex and Social Transitioning

Webinar Only

Effective July 1, 2026, Idaho’s new sexual and social transitioning statute will take effect unless the law is blocked by a court. The law prohibits health care providers and certain other entities  from “aiding and abetting" a minor’s sexual or social transitioning without parental consent, and requires covered entities to affirmatively notify parents of a minor’s request for sexual or social transitioning. Violations may result in lawsuits by parents; civil penalties of up to $100,000 by the Attorney General; and adverse licensure action. The new law raises many concerns and questions.

In this free webinar, we will address:

  • To whom the new law applies
  • What is prohibited and required
  • Questions raised by the law and pending challenges
  • Consequences for violations
  • Suggestions for moving forward

Attendance certificates available upon request after the webinar to be used in a self-application for CLE credit.
