Holland & Hart Welcomes Tax Attorney John Ludlum

Holland & Hart LLP is pleased to announce that John Ludlum has joined the firm’s Tax practice. He resides in the firm’s Salt Lake City office.

Ludlum counsels clients on employee benefits and equity compensation matters. He regularly advises clients on employee benefits issues in mergers and acquisitions. In relation to equity compensation, Ludlum assists companies with compensation design, tax considerations and market practices.

Ludlum has significant experience with compliance matters regarding Code Section 280G, Code Section 409A, Rule 701 and other tax and securities laws affecting employee and equity compensation. In addition, he negotiates and drafts compensation terms and tax matters in employment and separation agreements. He also counsels clients on ERISA pension and welfare plan operations.

He is a member of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals. Ludlum is admitted to practice in Utah and California.

Ludlum holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley.
