Updated for 2003, this new publication contains chapters 165 through 179 of the Second Edition of the American Law of Mining, prepared under the Aegis of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation.

Chapters topics include: Permitting Process, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Air Quality Control, Water Quality, Resource Conservation and Recovery (RCRA), Superfund, Surface Management and Reclamation in Coal Mining, Hardrock and Non-Coal Mining, Local Land Use Controls, Wildlife and Vegatation Protection, Cultural Resources Protection, Uranium Mining and Milling, Toxic Substances Control Act and Toxic Torts.
