Holland & Hart's Boise Office Recognized for Excellent Community Service for Second Consecutive Year
BOISE (May 6, 2009) – The Boise office of the law firm of Holland & Hart received the Idaho State Bar’s annual 6.1 Challenge award, which recognizes the law firm in Idaho’s Fourth Judicial District with the greatest accomplishments in pro bono and community service. This was the second consecutive year that Holland & Hart was selected as the award’s “large firm” winner.
From May 2008 to April 2009, the Boise office’s total pro bono and public service hours averaged 74 hours per attorney. The hours devoted by Boise Holland & Hart attorneys ranged from pro bono work for individuals, including civil liberties, immigration, and domestic violence cases, to work for local charitable, civic, and educational organizations. Judges for this year’s award included Idaho Supreme Court Justice Burdick, Idaho Fourth Judicial District Judge Wilper, Chief U.S. Magistrate Judge Dale, Boise Mayor Bieter, and Idaho Statesman Editor/Vice President Vicki Gowler. The winners were announced at the Law Day Reception on May 1, 2009 in downtown Boise.
