Holland & Hart Welcomes Experienced Business Litigation Partner Patrick Bernal

Holland & Hart announced that experienced business litigation attorney Patrick Bernal has joined the firm as a partner in its Boulder office.

Patrick works closely with companies to evaluate the risks, operational burdens, and costs of pursuing litigation. Clients benefit from his business-savvy analytical approach and ability to distill complex legal issues into clear plans of action.

Patrick handles all stages of disputes, from negotiating expeditious resolutions, to tendering insurance claims, to litigating through trial and appeal. He regularly counsels clients on proactive measures to avoid litigation and protect their business interests.

"Patrick often serves in an outside General Counsel role to companies in a range of industries, including construction, technology, cannabis, and food and beverage," said Matt Smith, leader of the firm’s Business Litigation practice group. "He brings incredible energy and fresh perspective to our team."

"I’m thrilled to join Holland & Hart’s team of talented, experienced advocates. We all appreciate that clients are busy people who want to know how a legal issue may affect their bottom line and we all strive to deliver pragmatic advice," said Bernal. "The firm’s broad scope of practice and industry expertise will be a huge asset to my clients, providing access to legal services beyond my litigation counsel."

Before joining Holland & Hart, Patrick practiced at a national law firm in Colorado and previously worked at law firms in New York and Vermont.
