Holland & Hart Welcomes Brenda R. Berg
DENVER (October 2, 2008) - Holland & Hart is pleased to announce that Brenda Berg has joined the Denver office as of counsel to the firm. Berg will practice in the firm's Benefits Law Group.
Berg counsels employers and service providers on a wide array of tax and ERISA matters affecting employee benefit plans and drafts plan documents and related employee communications. Her experience includes 401(k) plans, defined benefit pension plans, health and welfare plans, and nonqualified deferred compensation plans. Berg advises clients on matters such as employee benefits issues in mergers and acquisitions, correction of qualification and operational errors through IRS and DOL correction programs, fiduciary duty requirements and best practices, controlled group analysis and effect on benefit plans, and 409A compliance of deferred compensation plans and employment agreements.
Berg received her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law and her B.Acc., cum laude, from the University of North Dakota.
