Holland & Hart Verdict is Second Largest of 2009

DENVER (March 22, 2010) – Denver-based Holland & Hart attorneys were part of a trial team that secured the second largest jury verdict in the nation - $812 million - of 2009, according to research produced by the National Law Journal. The four-week jury trial in federal court in South Carolina was tried by Holland & Hart partner Greg Goldberg, with assistance from Wiley Mayne, and Danielle Voorhees.

Goldberg, Mayne, and Voorhees served as counsel for one of five plaintiffs victimized in a complex, $1 billion securities and investor fraud involving entities in the United States, Liechtenstein, St. Vincent, and Isle of Man. The verdict in the case was trebled under RICO, the federal racketeering statute.
